Annual Corporate Renewal Filings with the Secretary of State
As your Nevada resident agent, Acorn offers additional services as a matter of convenience. For example, the Secretary of State sends the Annual List of Officers form to the Nevada Resident Agent each year for renewal. As a service to our clients, Acorn will notify each client of the date the corporation's list of officers and directors should be filed with the state. In fact, we will execute the filing for you after you have completed the form and returned it to us.
Nominee Service
Acorn's Officer Nominee Service is a service we provide to give you, the corporate officer, more privacy. Since the names and addresses on the Annual List of Officers and Directors (for a corporation) and the Annual List of General Partners (for a Limited Partnership) is public record, this service will give you another level of privacy. Using Acorn's Nominee Service keeps your name and address away from prying eyes, annoying solicitors, junk mail and anyone else who accesses the Secretary of State's database for various reasons, and sometimes those reasons are not for your benefit. Expedited Filings
Sometimes, the normal filing procedures of the Secretary of State simply do not move fast enough to accommodate occasional emergencies. Those are the times when your corporation or other business entity will need to have something filed with the Secretary of State's office on an expedited basis. Each year your corporation is required to renew its notice to the state stipulating that it continues to have a resident agent within the state. Acorn charges a renewal fee of $100.00 per year to continue as your company's Nevada Resident Agent.
